I understand that it can be daunting to take the first steps towards counselling.


To ask for and to be willing to receive help from another person can take a lot of courage and it is important to feel comfortable with your counsellor.

People seek therapy for lots of different reasons whether you are looking to understand current life events, maybe to work through a traumatic experience or to gain clarity on life experiences to enable you to move forward with a clearer understanding of your past. 

You might want to understand your feelings and gain greater insight to how you understand your world and your relationships within it.  Some people seek counselling because they want to live a more real and authentic life where they feel confident to be themselves and have a greater acceptance of who they are.

Whatever your reasons might be, taking the first steps to seek help can be the hardest but most people find counselling to be of great benefit.

Counselling is about building a trusting relationship between yourself and your counsellor and creating a safe space to express your feelings without judgement from others.

In our sessions together you will find me to be an open and accepting person who strives to work with compassion and empathy.  By creating a supportive environment for you to explore your issues thoughts and feelings I hope you will feel a greater understanding of yourself and find empowerment for your future.
